- "By the way, <Envoy>, I didn't forget to ask about this mysterious barrier. Chief Amon said he definitely did not order any sort of barrier over Deep's Cavern. He actually thought I was attempting to mock the Giants' lack of magical expertise..."
Envoy
- So, the magic barrier has nothing to do with the Giants after all. Consulting the Avians is the only alternative, however...
- Thinking back on the rescue of Puckett and your resounding defeat over the Argus Cult, simply asking the Avians will no longer be an easy matter.
Tanner
- "While we were working to achieve peace with the Giants, it seems that some new issue has arisen...Our village chief has asked me if I can spare any of our team to deploy to the northwest. It would seem something is going on there."
- "According to the chief, reports of the sounds of a great battle, and even severe earthquakes, seem to be coming from the northwest; so he has sent the majority of our hunters to investigate."
- "I would go have a look myself, but I must return to the village first to let the people know about the peace agreement we have reached with the Giants."
- "I need you to take charge in the northwest for me, <Envoy>. Journey over there and find out what's really going on!"

- "Which squad do you belong to? I've never seen you before..." The hunter seems exhausted, and it's too hard to tell the full extent of his injuries...

- "Who are you? Judging from your outfit, you're not a hunter..." The young hunter looks at you curiously.
Envoy
- You explain that the war between the Humans and Giants is finally over. Tanner has formed a treaty of peace with the Giants and has returned to the village to let everyone know.
Juno
- "Oh...you know Tanner? I'm Juno..." Juno looks suspicious and turns to Roger.
- "Hey, Roger!"
Completing the Quest[]
Envoy
- You tell the injured hunter that you were sent by the Church in pursuit of the Shadow Knight, but, for the moment, are here on Tanner's request to investigate the fighting in the northwest.
Roger
- "Tanner? Is...is he alright? I'm Roger Jones, his older brother."
Envoy
- With wide eyes, you realize that the injured hunter before you is the missing Roger Jones! You never expected to come across him accidentally!
