Conversation[]

Accepting the Quest[]

Lane

"Since you asked, I guess I can fill you in," Lane grunts gruffly.
"According to the workers, they were busily collecting when a girl they'd never seen just suddenly ran up to them. While everyone was wondering what was going on, a bunch of Centaurs ambushed them from behind."

Envoy

The girl and the Centaurs remind you of the situation with Ivan. It seems the Centaurs are becoming more and more aggressive.

Lane

"The workers, in trying to flee from the chaos, fell or were jostled by the Centaurs. Some were even attacked directly."
"I'm only telling you this because I know you've experienced rough battles before. My instincts tell me that you might just be able to drive the Centaurs away."
"If you're willing to take on this task, you may as well do the workers a favor, too. Bring back the Missing Tools they lost in the forest."

In Progress[]

Lane

"What if the ferocious Centaurs attack the Arena during the competition? Think of all the spectators that could be hurt in the fray. How many would die?" Lane exclaims sadly, gazing at Shatterwall Hill with worry.

Completing the Quest[]

Lane

"Centaurs appearing here, how bizarre..." Lane mutters to himself, contemplative.

Envoy

You hand the Missing Tools to Lane and tell him what happened to the Centaurs.

Lane

"You really did it! I heard so much about you, but I didn't know it would all turn out to be true!"
"I hear you're piloting for Augustus. Is that so?"

Envoy

You nod.

Lane

"How daring! I suppose there's no rule that says the pilot must be a Dwarf, but humans simply don't know their way around machinery like we do. Montero may just win this round."
"You probably don't know much about Augustus and Fenrich. They're brothers, but in many ways, they are rivals, as well. One researches an ancient energy that cannot be implemented in today's society, and the other is obsessed with ecological studies."

Envoy

You purse your lips, wondering if Augustus could really rediscover ancient energy.

Lane

"He insists on using ancient technology, but the fact remains that he hasn't won a match in years. This time, he's made it to the finals. We'll see what happens next!"
