Healing skills will not damage any enemy, but instead help the targeted target, group or itself to recover HP. However, these are not the only sources of healing as there are damaging skill that also recovers one's HP. Having a Nocturnal weapon also heals the player for each hit the player deals where the recovery rate is dependent on the amount of damage dealt.
For healing skills, there are two different kinds of skills; direct heals and Healing over Time (HoT). Direct heals are generally all skills that heals the amount instantly while HoTs are healing skills that, as the name indicates, heals over time.
In Aura Kingdom there's a class who is dedicated for this duty, which is the Bard class.
To increase the amount of recovery from the healing skills, these are the most common and effective ways to increase one's recovery:
HEAL or simply Heal is the primary stat for increased recovery rate. This affects not only the heals the player casts, but also the heal that the player recieves from others. The base Heal is 100.00% and can be increased further by various sources such as gears, Envoy nodes or costumes. The more Heal % the player have, the more recovery will the player get.
Healing Potency is a stat that increases healing skills by a flat amount. The sources of healing potency are very narrow and does not improve HoTs or the amount you heal from others.
Recieved Healing is the opposite to Healing Potency; instead of increasing the heal you cast, it increases the amount you recieve. This stat increases flatly and does not affect HoTs.
Damage dealt absorbed to HP or generally called Lifesteal is an unique stat that recovers HP for every attack the player deals. Most common source for this is weapons with the Nocturnal prefix. A good thing to note is that this amount of heal is decreased by 90% in dungeons. Gold-quality weapons however containing this property are unaffected by this and recovers back the amount it states. Some Eidolons also offers this stat.
CRIT and CRIT DMG are also stats that contributes to the recovery rate of heals. Direct heals are affected by this and are very powerful. HoTs however remains unaffected. When healing others, the targets level affects the CRIT rate. The higher level, the less chance is it to CRIT heal. Being high-leveled and investing in CRIT helps to counteract this.
Element properties and Damage bonus to Element targets are also stats that can affect the amount of recovery. For example, if a Bard directly heals herself and is wearing a ice property armor and has 20% Damage bonus against Ice targets, the recovery rate will be increased by 20% whenever the Bard heals herself.
Healing skills are commonly found in magic types. The best healing class is the Bard. Other classes also has healing abilities, like Sorcerers, Wizards and Brawlers are classes that posesses healing skills.
